Overview

We offer business-critical services

Biz Technology Solutions, Inc. (BTS) provides full-service technology solutions for small and midsized organizations throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.

We deliver managed IT and co-managed support, managed cybersecurity, cloud and infrastructure services, business continuity and disaster recovery, CMMC readiness support, managed application services, custom software development, and AI enablement.

The work is strategic before it is technical: align technology to what the business is trying to accomplish, then use it to increase efficiency, lower cost, and reduce risk that would otherwise go unmanaged.

Since March 2023, BTS has been part of New Charter Technologies. Local ownership of your account did not change. The size of the bench behind it did.

Our Strengths

Clients work with us because of our

  • Operational maturity — specialists, not generalists
  • Accountability and transparency, reported against KPIs
  • Documented standards and process in everything we do
  • One provider for IT, cybersecurity, applications, and AI
  • Turnkey solutions scoped to a business outcome
  • A national engineering bench behind your local team
National strength, local ownership

A local partner with a national bench

In March 2023, BTS joined New Charter Technologies, a group of independently operated technology companies backed by Oval Partners. New Charter today comprises roughly 30 operating companies serving about 50 markets across North America, with approximately 1,300 employees. The reason this matters to a midsized organization is narrow and practical. Most IT providers your size cannot afford to keep a Microsoft 365 security specialist, an ERP developer, a CMMC practitioner, and a 24×7 security operations capability on staff at the same time. Through New Charter, we do not have to choose.

Engineering depth beyond one market

When a project calls for a specialist no single-market provider staffs full time, we draw from the group’s engineering bench rather than telling you to wait, hire, or settle for a generalist.

Security capability at national scale

Advanced cybersecurity — including monitoring, detection, and incident response — is delivered with the tooling and staffing economics of a national organization instead of the budget of one regional MSP.

Coverage where your people are

Multi-site and multi-state organizations can be supported through partner companies in other regions, so a satellite office or a plant two states away is not a coverage gap you manage yourself.

The same people, accountable to you

BTS remains headquartered in Mooresville and is still run by its own leadership team. Partner companies in the group keep their brands, their people, and their local decision-making. The partnership changed our capacity, not who answers for the outcome.

Industry leading partner

Credibility in the marketplace

Microsoft awards its Solutions Partner designations across six solution paths: Business Applications, Data & AI, Digital & App Innovation, Infrastructure, Modern Work, and Security. BTS holds all six — which means we carry all three of Microsoft’s customer-facing Solutions Partner badges: AI Business Solutions, Cloud & AI Platforms, and Security.

Designations are not purchased. They are earned against certified engineers on staff, measured customer outcomes, and performance thresholds that have to be re-earned rather than held permanently.

We hold the top-tier standing and we perform work for the vendors’ own clients. That standing is practical rather than decorative. It means escalation paths that do not begin in a public support queue, direct access to product and engineering resources when a major situation arises, and engineers who have already solved your problem inside the vendor’s own environment before they meet it inside yours.

Carrying all six at once requires engineering depth across infrastructure, security, business applications, and AI simultaneously, which is why very few providers of any size hold the complete set.

AI enablement

AI adopted safely, not just switched on

Most of the problems organizations hit with Microsoft Copilot are not AI problems. They are permission problems that were already there.

AI does not create new access to your data. It surfaces the access your people already have — instantly, in plain language, and without the friction that used to keep quiet mistakes quiet. A shared folder nobody cleaned up in 2019 becomes a search result in 2026.

So we assess before we deploy. We establish who can reach what today, close the gaps that matter, put a usage policy in writing, and pilot with a group small enough to learn from before it is small enough to embarrass you.

Assessment and roadmap

We evaluate your systems, workflows, and data to find where AI creates measurable value, then sequence it: readiness assessment, business process analysis, risk and compliance review, and a prioritized roadmap. Not a pilot chosen because it demonstrates well.

Governance, security, and policy

Data protection, written AI usage policies, alignment to the obligations you already carry, and continuous monitoring. No IT provider can make an organization compliant. What we can do is implement the controls, document them, and produce the evidence when someone asks for it.

Implementation and adoption

Microsoft AI and Copilot integration, workflow automation, AI-assisted service desk, and custom AI-enabled applications — followed by training, adoption measurement, and ongoing tuning. Licenses purchased are not value delivered.

Meeting the Highest Standards

Why professional
IT services with us?

Unified business solutions

Most organizations end up with one vendor for support, another for security, a third for the line-of-business application that actually runs the company, and no one accountable for how the three interact. Managed IT, co-managed support, cybersecurity, managed application services, software development, and AI enablement all sit inside one business under one leadership team. That is what makes a genuinely turnkey solution possible rather than a coordinated set of handoffs.

Operational maturity level

We publish standards and follow documented process. We communicate proactively, so you understand both the state of your technology and our performance as your service provider. Our engineers are specialists rather than jacks of all trades, and every employee and department carries KPIs they are measured against.

Technology aligned to standards

We use metrics and business intelligence to monitor our own performance and stay accountable to you. Employee compensation is tied to customer satisfaction ratings. We align your environment to documented standards and industry best practice to keep systems stable and optimized — and process is what lets us deliver service performance that is consistent, predictable, and measurable rather than anecdotal.

Industry experience that shortens the learning curve

We support manufacturers, healthcare organizations, legal practices, financial services firms, construction companies, non-profits, local government and municipalities, and private equity portfolio companies. Industry experience shows up in the details that generalists miss: the line-of-business application no one else will touch, the evidence an auditor expects to see, the change window a plant floor can actually accommodate.
