Accounting Manager

Are you ready to take your career to the next level?   Biz Technology Solutions, Inc is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to fill the role of Accounting Manager. This staff is responsible for the execution of daily billing and office administrative activities, supervising administrative staff as well as streamlining some of our billing and accounting processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in QuickBooks Accounting software and ConnectWise PSA (Professional Services Automation) software
  • Supervise administrative staff
  • Prepare all invoice types through an automated process
  • Maintain customer financial information and status
  • Manage Bank reconciliation
  • Create customer agreements that correspond to service or project contracts
  • Process Payroll through ADP on a bi-weekly basis
  • Work with accountant to prepare tax fillings
  • Process employee time and expense reports
  • Maintain the general ledger accounts
  • Post journal entries in the accounting software
  • Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Review account payable batches and monthly reports for validity, accuracy, and completeness and releasing the batches for payment
  • Manage collection, and allocation of payments
  • Manage reconciliation of customer and vendor accounts
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries with billing and invoicing
  • Prepare various financial reports for upper management
  • Perform other financial and accounting activities as required
  • Assist with some HR activities such as employee benefit programs, new employee onboarding
  • Establish and provide training to employee on policies and procedures within the company as needed
  • Drive and document process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and internal controls

Qualifications:

  • You have 6+ years of accounting experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in managing and developing staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office365, and including excel preferred
